Why is it so hard to love yourself?

Loving yourself is hard. Really hard. In a society where we are taught at such a young age to criticize every facet of our bodies, it’s almost impossible to love ourselves for who we are. But this needs to change. We need to see all body shapes represented in the media and online.

When did it become okay for a number on the scale, or the whiteness of your teeth, or the shade of your tan, to decide how beautiful you are as a human being? When did it become the “norm” to edit every single photo that’s posted before sharing with the world?

I'm not letting the pressure of society get to me. I'm focusing on being the best version I can of me. Whatever that looks like! So you won't see any edited pics here!
